Cocker-Weber is a premier source for high-quality custom industrial brushes. Equipped with over 125 years of tufted brush manufacturing and distributing experience, we can provide American-made solutions manufactured to nearly any specification or standard. From cleaning to deburring to polishing, our brushes are used in a variety of industries and applications.

Tufted brushes come in a wide range of shapes. Two brush types available at Cocker-Weber are industrial cylinder brushes and industrial wheel brushes.

Industrial Cylinder Brushesindustrial cylinder brushes

Cylinder brushes are rotary brushes that have a cylindrical design that have rows of tufts aligned, staggered or in a spiral pattern.

They typically have cores made from a strong, lightweight polymer and bristles made from materials ranging from metal wires to flexible synthetics or soft natural fibers. The bristles are stapled, glued, or tied  perpendicular to the core’s axis through pre-drilled holes in the desired pattern. The center of the core contains an arbor hole that allows users to insert a shaft so the cylindrical brush can be rotated along its center axis.

Industrial Wheel Brushesindustral wheel brushes

Industrial wheel brushes are rotary brushes with a circular design. They consist of one or more rows  of bristles around the outer edge of a flat, circular core perpendicular to the center. A hole through the center of the wheel allows users to insert a shaft or rod to spin the brush on a central axis. The rotary power is concentrated on the bristles, which can be used to produce cuts, create patterns, and achieve specialty finishes.
